DELEGATE

The Provincial Delegation of Maputo City of the National Institute of Health (INS) is headquartered in Maputo City.

Provincial Delegation Functions

• Represent the INS with the Provincial Government, ensuring the necessary coordination in the implementation of policies and strategies within the scope of public health research;
• Convene and chair the Delegation Collective;
• Issue Decrees, Circulars, and Service Orders as necessary for the full operation of the Delegation; and
• Exercise other powers conferred by law or determined by superiors under the terms of the Organic Statute of INS and other applicable legislation.

The Provincial Delegation of Maputo of INS is headed by a Provincial Delegate, appointed by the Minister responsible for the Health sector, upon proposal by the Director-General of INS.

Structure

The Provincial Delegation of Maputo City of INS has the following structure:

• Department of Research, Training, and Health Inquiries;
• Department of Administration and Finance;
• Human Resources Department;
• Procurement Department;
• Polana Caniço Research and Training Center; and
• Mavalane Biomedical Research Unit
