Are functions of the Department of Information, Communication, and Document Management Technologies:

  • Ensure the implementation of the State Apparatus's Informatics Policy;
  • Coordinate the implementation and updating of the INS's Information and Communication Technology strategy and its operational plan, and ensure its implementation.;
  • Promote and popularize the rational use of Information and Communication Technologies at INS, under the Electronic Transactions Law;
  • Ensure cybersecurity at INS;
  • Issue opinions on the proposal to introduce Information and Communication Technologies.;
  • Perform IT audits at INS;
  • Conceive and propose the implementation of INS's computer network infrastructure to support administrative and technical-scientific activities;
  • Ensure the maintenance of the computer network infrastructure that supports information and communication systems;
  • Identify and propose the implementation of computerized information systems and databases;
  • Coordinate and manage the computerization of priority information systems for INS;
  • Guide and propose the acquisition, expansion, and replacement of Information and Communication Technology equipment;
  • Develop technical standards for access and use of information systems at INS;
  • Carry out development and utilization activities for Information and Communication Technologies, including their mapping and updating;
  • Ensure the implementation of Information and Communication Technology hardware, software, and service equipment standards;
  • Coordinate the implementation of georeferencing systems for the INS's technical-scientific activities;
  • Organize the file of manuals for procedures and operation of electronic payment systems and ensure their availability to users.;
  • Manage and administer the INS Electronic Document Management System; and
  • Perform other tasks as superiorly determined under the applicable legislation.
