Welcome to the official page of the National Institute of Health (INS)!
It is with great satisfaction that we present a modern, responsive website tailored to new institutional challenges, designed to provide a dynamic, intuitive, and user-centered browsing experience. This platform aggregates relevant information and is structured in accordance with the new INS Organic Statute, reinforcing our commitment to transparency and access to knowledge.
The INS is a public technical-scientific institution responsible for the management, regulation, and oversight of activities related to the generation of scientific evidence in health, contributing to the continuous improvement of the health and well-being of the population in Mozambique.
Over several decades of evolution and consolidation, the INS has implemented a variety of technical-scientific programs that support the formulation of public health policies. Similar to other national public health institutes, the INS positions itself as a science-based institution that promotes sustainable solutions for health challenges at local, national, and global levels.
As a multidisciplinary institution, the INS operates based on five synergistic technical-scientific areas:
- Health and Well-being Research;
- Public Health Laboratories;
- Health Surveys and Observation;
- Health Scientific Communication and Education;
- Public Health Training.
INS professionals actively contribute to the understanding of public health problems through scientific research, specialized laboratory diagnostics, epidemiological surveillance, and health surveys. The information generated is widely disseminated, promoting knowledge and supporting evidence-based decision-making.
This new website represents a significant step in institutional modernization, offering a more accessible, organized, and interactive digital environment that significantly enhances the user experience in finding and using information.
I wish everyone an excellent navigation on this platform, which affirms itself as an essential tool for strengthening the third pillar of our motto: Discover, Understand and Inform.
