Functions of the Public Health Laboratories Division:
- Contribution to laboratory diagnostics in the face of epidemic outbreaks:
- Perform quality control of laboratory analyses through a laboratory referral system:
- Ensure biosecurity aspects related to the operation of reference laboratories:
- Manage the analytical activities of the INS laboratories;
- Contribute to strengthening the quality system at the National Health Service laboratories level;
- Serve as a laboratory reference for disease control and prevention programs, including reportable diseases, in public and private institutions.;
- Perform laboratory testing pertaining to the scientific investigation carried out by the INS;
- To perform other duties that are superiorly determined by the terms of this Statute and other applicable legislation.
