The functions of the Department of Administration and Finance are:

  • Budget, financial, and resource management;
  • Conduct studies to improve the administration and finance area of INS;
  • Develop the annual and multi-year plans for INS;
  • Organize and monitor cooperation activities.;
  • Carry out internal administration;
  • Manage projects;
  • Manage and execute procurements and contracts;
  • Develop the INS activity plan and budget proposal and coordinate the planning, execution, and control of the budget.;
  • Ensure budget execution and guarantee legality and efficiency in spending.;
  • Manage the institution's financial, material, and asset resources;
  • Develop accountability processes and record the respective registries;
  • Ensure the system for receiving, circulating, and dispatching correspondence.;
  • Ensure the safety, maintenance, and correct use of the institution's facilities;
  • Provide technical and logistical support to the institution's various organic units;
  • Manage the institution's assets in accordance with current norms and regulations, and ensure their proper use, maintenance, and protection.;
  • Ensure compliance with norms in the inventory, maintenance, and preservation of the institution's heritage;
  • Implement the State National Archives System and ensure the administration and management of the institution's archives and documentation;
  • Prepare execution reports of the plan and budget for submission to the line ministries and financial oversight ministries;
  • Prepare the Management Account for submission to the Administrative Court;
  • Ensure the compliance with normative acts in the scope of administration and management of financial and asset resources;
  • Perform other activities that are superiorly determined for you under the terms of the INS Organic Statute and other applicable legislation.
