A Mozambican Journal of Health Sciences It is a scientific publication of the National Institute of Health of Mozambique, whose mission is to disseminate knowledge in various areas of human health, with emphasis on clinical practice, laboratory work, public health, and the training of health professionals.
The journal adopts an interdisciplinary approach, covering topics related to health promotion, clinical care delivery, and collective health, with a special focus on endemic and neglected diseases relevant to Portuguese-speaking countries.
It primarily publishes original research results, and also includes the following sections:
- Literature reviews;
- Brief communications;
- Research methods;
- Case reports;
- Policy briefs;
- Opinions, debates, and controversies;
- Continuing education for healthcare professionals,
