Throughout his career, he has held technical and management roles, notably coordinating the establishment of molecular biology laboratories in the National Health Service between 2009 and 2014. From 2015 to 2019, he coordinated the then Department of Research and Well-being at the National Institute of Health (INS). Between 2019 and 2022, he led the INS's Department of Regulation and Promotion of Health Research. Since 2023, he has been coordinating the Division of Public Health Laboratories.
As a researcher, you focus on the molecular epidemiology of viral infections, diagnostic technology assessment, and immunogenetics. You are the author and co-author of over 40 scientific articles published in indexed journals. Concurrently, you have been a university educator for over 15 years, with experience in training healthcare professionals.
